On December 4, 2025, as a key event of the first Global Intelligent Machinery and Electronic Products Expo (AIE), the "AIE Future Audio-Visual Leaders Summit" was grandly held at the Venetian Macao Cotai Expo. The summit, themed "Global Vision | Sonic Future," brought together over 300 industry leaders, academicians, international organization representatives, and senior executives from core enterprises in the industry chain, to discuss cutting-edge technological trends such as AI glasses, spatial computing, and ultra-high-definition video, promoting standards collaboration and ecosystem development.
The summit is organized by the Global Intelligent Machinery and Electronic Products Expo Organizing Committee and co-organized by a wide range of industry and academic partners.
In his keynote address, Peng Lihui, Vice President and Secretary General of the China Electronics Chamber of Commerce, stated that at the historical crossroads of technological revolution and industrial transformation, frontier technologies such as artificial intelligence, multi-modal perception, and spatial computing are reshaping the form and boundaries of the audio-visual industry with unprecedented force.
He emphasized that technological development must adhere to the value orientation of "human-centered, boundaryless, and intelligent," and called for greater global collaboration to build an open and inclusive innovation ecosystem.
At the summit, the World AI Eyewear Alliance (WAEA), initiated by the Shenzhen Flat Panel Display Industry Association, held a grand establishment ceremony. The alliance aims to drive the standardization, commercialization, and globalization of AI glasses technology, building a complete industrial chain from chips, optical modules to content ecosystems.
The alliance seeks to promote global collaboration, set industry standards, and contribute to technological innovation across multiple fields.
In the keynote session, industry leaders and experts shared their profound insights on the development of the AI + Audio-Visual industry and cutting-edge technological trends.
These keynote presentations discussed the current development status and future trends of frontier technologies such as AI glasses, spatial computing, and ultra-high-definition video, providing rich industry insights and technological guidance for the attendees.
The experts unanimously agree that the fusion of AI and AR technologies will lead human-machine interaction into a new era, and that standards collaboration, ecosystem building, and technological innovation are the key pathways to achieving this goal.
This summit carefully planned and set up two rounds of high-density roundtable discussions, covering key links in the industry chain. The topics are designed to address the core challenges of the AI + Audio-Visual industry, moving from technology verification to large-scale deployment. This is a collaborative collision of ideas across "industry, academia, research, application, and investment."
The first roundtable discussion was themed "Breaking the Scene & Upgrading Value — From General AI Glasses to Vertical Scene Deployment," hosted by Wang Jing, Investment Manager of Tongchuang Weiye's Smart Terminal Division.
The guests had a lively discussion about the commercialization path of AR application scenarios, and all agreed that "vertical deepening" is the key to breaking through the AI glasses industry.
During the discussion, the guests shared their practical experiences in different vertical fields and explored the application potential and business models of AI glasses in specific scenarios such as industry, healthcare, education, and culture. Their insights provided valuable references for the industry’s development.
Attendees believe that while the development of general AI glasses is important, at this stage, delving into specific vertical scenes and solving real business pain points is an effective path to achieving large-scale commercialization of AI glasses.
The second roundtable discussion focused on "Industry Collaboration & Ecological Prosperity — The Global Vision and China Practice of the XR Industry," co-hosted by Timothy TU, Secretary-General of the WAEA World AI Eyewear Alliance in the US, and Jiao Yang, Deputy Secretary-General of the UWA World Ultra High Definition Video Industry Alliance.
Guests exchanged views on topics such as chip supply, optical module localization, content ecosystem construction, and strategies for expanding globally. They emphasized the need to build an integrated ecosystem of "hardware + software + services + channels" to achieve the sustainable development of the XR industry.
During the discussion, the guests analyzed the global development pattern of the XR industry, explored China's role and opportunities, and had an in-depth exchange on how to strengthen collaboration across the industry chain and integrate technological innovation with business model innovation.
The attendees unanimously agreed that only through global collaboration and ecosystem building can the XR industry achieve healthy and sustainable development, creating greater value for global users.
During the summit, the first Global Intelligent Machinery and Electronic Products Expo (AIE) was held from December 4 to 6, 2025, at both the Venetian Macao Cotai Expo and Zhuhai International Exhibition Center, in a dual-city event. The exhibition gathered over 1,200 leading global intelligent manufacturing companies, including Huawei, ZTE, Tesla, BYD, Samsung, Tencent, Siemens, and many others, covering six major exhibition themes such as smart communication, the metaverse, industrial internet, smart travel, health technology, and more.
The "Future Audio-Visual Zone" (FAVZ) set up at the Macao venue became the focus of the event. Representative companies in the smart glasses industry, along with innovative brands, showcased the latest products and technological solutions, attracting buyers and visitors to experience and interact with the products, sparking enthusiastic responses.
Leveraging the strategic advantage of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the successful hosting of the summit and AIE Expo not only highlights China's innovative vitality in the intelligent audio-visual field but also provides a high-level platform for global industry chain collaboration. In the future, the organizers will continue to drive technological breakthroughs, standardization, and scenario implementation, working with global partners to usher in a new era of spatial intelligence where "you can see it by looking up, free your hands, and perceive the context."
The Future Audio-Visual Zone exhibition area featured the latest achievements in AI glasses, spatial computing devices, ultra-high-definition display technologies, and more, providing a platform for industry professionals, investors, and tech enthusiasts to explore cutting-edge technology trends and commercial cooperation opportunities.
